The Thunder trailed by two points (23-21) after the opening frame. However, the home team pulled away for good in the second quarter, outscoring its opponent 29-10, resulting in a 50-33 advantage at the break, a deficit the Nets could not overcome.
Jared McCain, who OKC acquired in a trade earlier this month, scored a team-high 21 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the floor. Chet Holmgren added 15 points and collected seven rebounds.
Cleveland aims to extend its win streak to eight games
After a 13-point loss to Phoenix to conclude January, the Cavaliers have won each of the seven games they have played this month, including a 118-113 victory against the Charlotte Hornets.
Cleveland led by double digits in the first half before the Hornets pulled within four with a minute left to play. Fortunately, Donovan Mitchell's short jumper and four free throws in the final 40 seconds secured the win.
Mitchell poured in a game-high 32 points, along with four assists and three rebounds. Jarrett Allen finished with a double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds.
