The Spurs held a 12-point advantage through three quarters. Unfortunately, Denver rallied in the final frame, outscoring the home team 42-25, handing San Antonio its first loss in 22 games when holding a 20-point lead.
Stephon Castle guided the offense with a superb effort. He scored a team-high 30 points, collected 11 rebounds, and handed out 10 assists. De'Aaron Fox added 27 points and nine assists on 10-for-19 shooting from the field.
Charlotte is shooting for its third straight win
Following back-to-back losses against Miami and Phoenix, the Hornets have won two straight, including a 117-109 win over the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.
Charlotte trailed for most of the first half and was down by three points at the break. But the Hornets responded with a 58-47 edge in the second half, including a 31-23 advantage in the third quarter.
LaMelo Ball led the way with 30 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Miles Bridges scored 26 points and dished out six assists.
