The Sixers had an opportunity to win the game in regulation, but Tyrese Maxey's layup attempt was blocked by Kevin Durant. However, Philadelphia seized control for good, scoring the first five points of the extra period.
Maxey scored a team-high 36 points and handed out 10 assists. Joel Embiid posted a triple-double that consisted of 32 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Following a four-game skid, the Knicks bounced back with an emphatic 120-66 victory against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night.
This game was over fairly quickly, with New York jumping out to a 60-38 lead at intermission. The home team poured it on after the break as well, outscoring its opponent by a 60-28 margin, including a 32-10 edge in the final frame.
Jalen Bruson scored a team-high 20 points, along with five assists and four rebounds. Landry Shamet added 18 points, connecting on all six of his 3-point attempts.
