The teams battle to a 60-60 stalemate through the first 24 minutes. But the short-handed Grizzlies seized control in the third quarter, outscoring Denver by a 39-31 margin en route to just their fourth win in 19 outings.
As usual, Nikola Jokic was the focal point of the team's offense. The versatile big man finished with 29 points, 14 rebounds, and nine assists. Christian Braun registered 26 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.
After suffering back-to-back losses to Houston and New Orleans, the Raptors have responded with three straight wins. This stretch includes a 139-109 victory against the Chicago Bulls.
The Raptors were up by 27 points at the break. They extended their advantage to 38 points in the third, thus essentially putting the game out of reach.
Toronto's balanced attack featured seven double-digit scorers. RJ Barrett led the starting five with 23 points and four rebounds. Ja'Kobe Walter was the star performer for the bench unit. He scored 18 points and grabbed four rebounds.
