The game was tied at 35 after the first 12 minutes of action. However, Detroit seized control, outscoring the Kings by a 78-58 margin in the middle two quarters on its way to an easy win.
Cade Cunningham was one of seven players who reached double figures for the host team. He finished with 29 points, 11 assists, and five rebounds. Jalen Duren contributed 18 points and six rebounds.
