Denver's four-game win streak ended with a 110-87 loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday.

The short-handed Nuggets, who were missing five of their top scorers, trailed 60-34 at the break. And although they played better in the second half, Charlotte cruised to a 23-point win.
Jamal Murray led the way with 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the field. Julian Strawther contributed 15 points, two rebounds, and two assists off the bench.
On the other side, the Lakers ended a two-game skid by defeating the Toronto Raptors 110-93.
Neither team held a double-digit margin until Los Angeles pulled ahead 91-80 in the fourth quarter following back-to-back buckets from LeBron James. And then a 9-0 burst by the Lakers enabled the host team to take control of the contest down the stretch.
Deandre Ayton tied for team-high scoring honors with 25 points and 13 rebounds. He also shot a perfect 10-for-10 from the field. Luka Doncic added 25 points and seven assists, connecting on five of his 12 attempts from deep.
