There was no suspense factor in this one, as the Nets trailed 65-41 at the break. And although Brooklyn produced 30 points in the final frame, the outcome of the game was never in doubt.
Chaney Johnson scored a team-high 17 points and collected nine rebounds. Tyson Etienne and Ben Saraf added 15 points each.
OKC aiming for its 10th straight win
On the other side, the defending champs have reeled off nine straight wins, including a 113-108 victory against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night.
Oklahoma City led 45-27 in the second quarter, but that advantage was cut to three in the fourth. Fortunately, a three-pointer from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander pushed the lead back to six, securing the win for the Thunder.
Gilgeous-Alexander lit up the Nets' defense to the tune of 40 points, converting 14 of his 27 shot attempts. Chet Holmgren chipped in with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
