The Mavericks trimmed an early 11-point deficit down to three at the break. But San Antonio's 40-28 surge in the third enabled the team to pull away for a 19-point win.
Cooper Flagg continued his strong rookie campaign with 33 points, six rebounds, and five assists, but the Mavericks’ defense again struggled to keep pace, as the Spurs shot 54 percent overall and 41 percent from deep.
The Bulls enter this tilt having lost 18 of their last 25 games. This stretch includes a 127-103 setback against the Orlando Magic.
Although Chicago trailed by a small margin early, the Magic led by 11 at halftime. Orlando extended its advantage to 20 through three quarters before coming out on top by a 24-point margin.
Tre Jones was one of five players in double figures for the Bulls. He scored a team-high 23 points, along with four rebounds and four assists. Leonard Miller registered 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists.
