Surging Hornets seek seventh straight victory
After dropping a 94-87 decision against the Cavaliers, Charlotte has won each of its last six games. This includes a 111-106 victory against the San Antonio Spurs.

The Hornets led by as many as 13 points in the third quarter before San Antonio got within two with less than five minutes left in regulation. With a chance to tie the game, Victor Wembanyama missed a hurried 3-point attempt, and Brandon Miller iced the game with a pair of free throws.
Miller scored a team-high 26 points and collected eight rebounds. Collin Sexton added 21 points off the bench. He shot a perfect 5-for-5 from 3-point range.
New Orleans hopes to avoid a third loss in four games
On the other side, the Pelicans have dropped two of their last three games following a two-game win streak. The team's recent setback was a 124-114 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.
New Orleans overcame a 13-point halftime deficit to get within 114-111 in the fourth quarter. But a 9-2 surge that included consecutive 3-pointers from Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, and VJ Edgecombe, Philly pushed the lead to 123-113, securing the win for the home team.
Saddiq Bey was the Pelicans' standout performer. He guided the offense with 34 points on 12-for-19 shooting overall and 4-for-7 from downtown. He also tallied six rebounds and three assists.
