The Cavaliers trailed by 17 points in the first half before a 31-12 burst put them ahead 68-64 at the break. Cleveland extended its lead to 11 points through three quarters and held on down the stretch.

Evan Mobley led nine double-digit scorers with 24 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Dennis Schroder contributed 22 points, 11 assists, and five rebounds.

Atlanta will try to regroup following a narrow loss to the Knicks

The Hawks had won four straight, but that streak ended with a heartbreaking 108-105 loss to the New York Knicks.

This back-and-forth contest went down to the last few possessions. Atlanta trailed by three points after Jalen Brunson made two free throws with 1.2 seconds left.

CJ McCollum took an inbounds pass and knocked down what appeared to be the game-tying basket. Unfortunately, replays showed that the ball was still in his hands when the game clock expired, thus securing the win for New York.

All five starters reached double figures for the Hawks. Nickeil Alexander-Walker led the way with 36 points and converted seven of his 11 attempts from 3-point range. Jalen Johnson scored 21 points, pulled down 11 rebounds, and handed out five assists.
