The game between these division rivals was tight early on, as Golden State clung to a slim 55-54 lead at intermission. The Warriors opened the second half with a 19-4 run, increasing their advantage to 17 points.
Los Angeles trimmed the deficit to six points (105-99), but could not get any closer down the stretch, enabling the Warriors to pull out a 119-109 victory.
The Dubs got solid contributions from multiple players. Jimmy Butler III led the way with 31 points, five rebounds, and four assists. He also converted all 16 of his free throw attempts. Stephen Curry scored 23 points and handed out four assists for a Golden State squad that shot 48.7 percent overall and 42.5 percent from 3.
The Nuggets seemed to be in control early, as they went into the break with a sizeable 59-46 advantage. However, the Thunder responded with a 48-32 burst in the second half to escape with a three-point victory.
Peyton Watson was one of five players to reach double figures. His final stat included 15 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Julian Strawther was the standout player for the bench unit. He scored 14 points on 4-for-7 shooting from beyond the arc.
