Atlanta trailed by 14 points late in the third quarter before a pair of free throws from Nickeil Alexander-Walker got the Hawks within a point in the final frame. However, Cade Cunningham responded with a crucial basket, enabling the Pistons to pull away down the stretch.
Jalen Johnson scored a team-high 25 points, along with nine assists, eight rebounds, and three steals. Alexander-Walker added 24 points, three rebounds, and three assists.
