Rockets-Warriors Game 6 Recap

The Rockets dropped three of the series’ first four games, and elimination seemed inevitable. However, Houston has won the last two contests, including a 115-107 victory in Game 6. Now it can close out this winner-take-all Game 7 on its home court.

Fred VanVleet guided an offense in which four starters reached double figures. His final stat line included 29 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists. He also converted six of nine attempts from beyond the arc.

Alperen Sengun finished with a double-double that included 21 points and 14 rebounds. Houston’s big man also tallied six assists and three steals.

On the other side of the matchup, Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler III were the headline performers for the Dubs. Curry put up 29 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and shot 6-for-16 from 3-point range.

Butler finished with 27 points, nine boards, and eight dimes for a Golden State team that shot 41.1 percent overall and 30.6 percent from distance.

Curry helped the Warriors get within 86-84 heading into the fourth quarter, but Houston responded accordingly. VanVleet opened the period with a four-point play.

Jalen Green scored on a putback off his missed shot. VanVleet knocked down another 3-pointer, giving the Rockets a 101-89 advantage with 6:47 remaining.
