Houston's recent two-game win streak was snapped in a 122-109 setback against the Dallas Mavericks.

The teams battled to a 57-57 tie at intermission. But in the third quarter, Dallas went on a 14-0 run, outscoring Houston 37-20 during that game-changing stretch.
The Mavericks increased their advantage to 21 points in the final frame before settling for a 13-point win.
Kevin Durant paced the offense with 27 points on 55 percent shooting from the field. Jabari Smith finished with 22 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.
On the other side, Los Angeles finds itself amid a two-game losing streak, which includes a three-point loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.
The Clippers held a 14-point advantage at the break but could not close the deal. Minnesota outscored Los Angeles 30-22 in the third quarter, trimming what was an 18-point deficit down to six points entering the fourth quarter.
In the waning moments, LA led by two points before a 3-pointer from Naz Reid and a pair of free throws from Jaden McDaniels gave the Timberwolves a three-point advantage.
The Clippers had a chance to send the game into an extra frame, but James Harden's 3-point attempt was off the mark as the final buzzer sounded.
Harden put up a team-high 34 points, along with six assists and five rebounds. Kawhi Leonard added 20 points on 8-of-17 shooting from the field.
