Raptors Post Franchise Scoring Record For Season Opener In Win Over Atlanta
Toronto led by two points after the first quarter and increased its advantage to 65-59 at the break. Thanks to a 45-28 burst in the third quarter that included a 14-0 run, the road team cruised to a 138-118 victory.
The team had seven players who produced double-digit scoring totals. RJ Barrett paced the offense with 25 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Scottie Barnes added 22 points, nine assists, six rebounds, and two blocks.
In addition to setting a team record for most points scored in a season opener, the Raptors shot an efficient 56.8 percent from the field.
Milwaukee's Balanced Effort Key In Win Over The Wizards
The Bucks led by a comfortable 72-53 margin at the break. Although Washington eventually trimmed the deficit to seven points, Milwaukee went on to win 133-120, a game in which it never trailed.
Giannis Antetokounmpo put up 37 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, and handed out five assists. Gary Trent Jr. finished with 17 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals for a Bucks' offense that placed seven players in double figures.
