One of the games on Wednesday's NBA slate features the Detroit Pistons hosting the Chicago Bulls. Who has the edge in our Pistons vs Bulls pick?
Detroit trailed the Wizards by nine points (117-108) with 4:05 left in regulation. But the Pistons scored nine straight points to force an overtime period. And the home team took the lead for good on Duncan Robinson's 3-pointer with 1:04 left to play.
Although he shot 14-for-45, Cade Cunningham produced his 12th career triple-double, finishing with 46 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists, five steals, and two blocked shots. He is the first player in league history to reach those totals in a game since the NBA began tracking steals and blocks in 1973-74.
The Bulls got off a to a 6-1 start. Unfortunately, they have cooled off considerably, dropping each of their last three games. This includes a 121-117 setback against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night.
Despite Josh Giddey sitting this one out with an ankle injury, Chicago held a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter. But Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs finished the game on a 30-13 burst, helping the silver and black come away with a four-point victory.
Kevin Huerter, who was inserted into the starting lineup in Giddey's absence, scored a team-high 23 points, along with five rebounds and five assists. Tre Jones also turned in a solid performance, adding 20 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.

Detroit holds a slight 3-2 edge in the previous five meetings in this series. Given their seven-game win streak and the Bulls losing four of their last five, the edge goes to the home team in this Central Division showdown.
