Previously Winless Pacers Aim For Second Straight Win
Indiana started its season with an 0-5 record. However, this group snapped its early-season slide courtesy of a 114-109 victory against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday.
The Pacers trailed by as many as 11 points in the final frame. But a 3-pointer from Pascal Siakam gave the home team a 112-109 lead with 37 seconds left to play. After Jonathan Kuminga missed on the Warriors' next possession, Quenton Jackson knocked down a pull-up jumper, providing the game's final points.
Aaron Nesmith was one of four starters in double figures. He scored a team-high 31 points and grabbed six rebounds. Siakam added 27 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Miwaukee Looks To Get Back Into The Win Column
The Bucks had won four of their first five games, but fell short against the Sacramento Kings by a 135-133 margin.
Milwaukee led by 11 points after the opening stanza but could not sustain its early momentum. Fast forwarding to the fourth quarter, Dennis Schroder hit a pair of free throws to give the Kings a 135-132 lead with 14.8 second left in regulation.
A.J. Green hit the first of two free throws and missed the second. Milwaukee failed to control the offensive rebound, allowing Sacramento to hold on for a two-point win.
Giannis Antetokounmpo paced the offense with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists. Kyle Kuzma led the second unit with 22 points on 9-for-13 shooting in 22 minutes of action.
