After a pair of wins against the Hornets and Bulls, Brooklyn came up short against the Utah Jazz 123-110.

The Nets held a nine-point advantage through the first three quarters. However, Utah put together a offensive output in which it outscored Brooklyn by a decisive 42-20 margin on its way to a double-digit win.
Noah Clowney scored a team-high 29 points, along with four rebounds and three assists. Ziaire Williams led the second unit with 23 points in 28 minutes of action.
Following a 143-130 win over the Chicago Bulls in late November, the Pelicans have dropped their last five games, including a 125-116 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Despite having just three wins on their resume, the Pelicans held a 91-88 advantage at the start of the final frame. However, Minnesota produced a 15-0 run that allowed the road team to coast to a nine-point victory.
Six players reached double figures for New Orleans. Trey Murphy III scored 21 points, handed out eight assists, and collected seven rebounds. Saddiq Bey and Jeremiah Fears added 20 points each.

Although both teams have played poorly this season, the Nets have won the last two meetings in this series and seven of the previous 10. In a game that won't offer much entertainment value, the edge goes to Brooklyn.
