Lakers Conclude Preseason On A Sour Note Despite Solid Performance From Luka Doncic
Los Angeles faced a Sacramento squad that was missing multiple key players. The list included Keegan Murray, Domantas Sabonis, DeMar DeRozan, and Malik Monk.
Unfortunately, the Kings' lack of depth did not prevent them from rallying for a 117-116 victory, handing the Lakers their third straight loss and their fifth defeat in six preseason games.
Luka Doncic was spectacular, scoring a game-high 31 points, along with nine assists and five rebounds. The versatile guard also knocked down six of his 11 attempts from deep.
Golden State's Late-Game Rally Falls Short In Loss To Clippers
The Warriors fell behind by double digits after the first quarter and trailed by 11 points entering the fourth quarter. Golden State managed to get within three points down the stretch.
Ultimately, their rally came up short, as both Will Richard and L.J. Cryer missed game-tying 3-pointers in the final moments of this contest, enabling the Clippers to hold on for 106-103 victory.
Stephen Curry was the team's top scorer, finishing with 20 points, five rebounds, and four assists. He shot 7-for-16 overall and a respectable 4-for-8 from 3-point range.
