After a three-game win streak, New York has responded with two straight victories, including a 119-102 win over the Washington Wizards on Monday.
The game was close early, as New York led by a slim 57-54 margin at the break. However, the Knicks pulled away in the third quarter, courtesy of a 41-24 burst in the third quarter. As a result, the home team coasted to a 17-point victory.
Karl-Anthony Towns put together a spectacular performance. He finished with a team-high 33 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, and two steals. OG Anunoby and Jalen Brunson added 16 points each.
Minnesota Seeks First Three-Game Win Streak Of The Season
Following back-to-back losses to the Pacers and Lakers, the Timberwolves enter this matchup amid a two-game winning streak. This includes a 125-109 victory against the Brooklyn Nets.
Minnesota was up 91-88 through the first three quarters. And the team opened the fourth with a 6-0 run en route to outscoring its opponent by a 34-21 margin over the final 12 minutes.
Donte DiVincenzo paced the offense with 25 points, nine boards, and five assists. Jaden McDaniels added 22 points, while Julius Randle posted a triple-double that consisted of 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists.
