Following a 2-3 start, the Knicks have won three straight. This includes a 137-114 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night.
New York trailed by four points at the break. But the second half was a completely different story. The Knicks outscored Minnesota by a decisive 83-56 margin, including a 43-28 advantage in the final frame.
New York's balanced scoring attack produced six double-digit scorers, including four starters. OG Anunoby put up 25 points, along with eight rebounds and two steals. Jalen Brunson scored 23 points, handed out 10 assists, and collected seven rebounds.
After snapping a seven-game losing skid, the Nets followed that up with a 125-107 loss to the Detroit Pistons on Friday night.
Despite having only one victory on its resume, Brooklyn kept it close early and trailed by just five points at intermission. Detroit took control of the game for good in the third, thanks to a 34-19 scoring advantage. The victory is the Pistons' fifth straight overall and their fourth consecutive win over the Nets.
Cade Cunningham scored a team-high 34 points and handed out 10 assists. He's averaging 29.8 points and 11.2 assists on 54 percent shooting from the field during the team's five-game win streak. Jalen Duren registered 30 points, 11 rebounds, and three steals.
