The Timberwolves trailed 62-49 at the break before rallying to take a 113-105 lead with 1:09 left to play. However, Phoenix scored the final nine points of the game, capped off with a basket from Collin Gillespie with 6.4 seconds left in regulation.

On the final possession, Julius Randle's 3-point attempt was off the mark, enabling the home team to hold on for a one-point win. Anthony Edwards scored a game-high 41 points, along with five rebounds, four assists, and four steals.
