Jazz End Preseason On A High Note
Utah jumped out to a 34-32 lead after the first quarter before Portland rallied to take a four-point lead into the break. Thanks to a 43-point effort in the third quarter, the Jazz managed to hold on for a narrow 132-129 victory, their first of the preseason.
Keyonte George led five double-digit scorers with 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field, including a 3-for-6 effort from 3-point range. Both Lauri Markkanen and Svi Mykhailiuk scored 15 points each and handed out a total of nine assists.
LA Outlasts Golden State To Notch Its Third Win Of Exhibition Competition
The Clippers held a double-digit lead after the opening stanza and led 85-74 entering the fourth quarter. Golden State made a late push, but thanks to a driving layup and a pair of free throws from Kobe Sanders, LA held on for a three-point win.
Sanders powered the offense with 25 points, four rebounds, and two assists in 37 minutes off the bench. He also shot 4-for-9 from distance. Yanic Konan Niederhauser finished with a double-double that consisted of 13 points and 11 rebounds.
