Following a 20-point loss in its season opener, Atlanta found itself trailing by a dozen points in the fourth quarter against Orlando.
But thanks to a 15-0 run down the stretch, which included six points from Trae Young in the final 46 seconds, the Hawks flipped a double-digit deficit into a four-point win.
Five players reached double figures for Atlanta. Young scored 25 points and handed out six assists. Nickeil Alexander-Walker finished with 19 points and four assists.
The Thunder needed two extra periods to outlast the Houston Rockets in their season opener. That trend played out once again, as they outlasted the Indiana Pacers in double overtime by a 141-135 margin in a rematch of last year's NBA Finals.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was virtually unstoppable. He put up a game-high 55 points on 15-for-31 shooting. He also tallied eight rebounds, and five assists.
Aaron Wiggins finished with 23 points along with nine assists. Ajay Mitchell led the second unit with 26 points, four assists, and three assists in 38 minutes of action.
