Celtics Finally Got Their First Win Of The Season
After starting the season with three consecutive losses, Boston finally broke into the win column with a convincing 122-90 victory against the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night.
The Celtics led 87-78 heading into the final frame. After New Orleans pulled within five points (91-86), Boston finished the game with a 31-4 run on its way to a 32-point win.
Anfernee Simons led the way with 25 points and six rebounds off the bench. Payton Pritchard added 18 points and eight assists, while Jaylen Brown contributed 15 points, seven boards, and four dimes.
Cleveland Aiming For Another Dominant Victory
Following an opening-night loss to New York, the Cavaliers have bounced back with three straight wins, including a 116-95 victory against the Detroit Pistons on Monday.
Cleveland put the game away early, racing out to a 63-41 lead at halftime. The Cavaliers extended their advantage to as many as 25 points in the fourth quarter en route to a dominant victory.
Donovan Mitchell scored a game-high 35 points on 13-for-18 shooting from the floor and a 7-for-8 effort from the charity stripe. Jarrett Allen finished with 20 points, seven rebounds, and two assists.
