Cavs Shooting For Third Straight Victory
After suffering a 126-113 setback against the Raptors, Cleveland enters this matchup riding a two-game win streak. This includes a 118-106 victory against the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night.
Although Milwaukee jumped out to an early 30-16 lead in the first quarter, the game was tied at 88 late in the third quarter. But thanks to a 12-3 burst, the Cavaliers were able to pull away down the stretch.
Donovan Mitchell pumped in 37 points, along with seven assists and five rebounds. He shot 14-for-22 overall and 5-of-7 from deep. Sam Merrill added 14 points and five rebounds on a 6-for-9 effort from 3-point range.
Houston Seeking Its Fifth Consecutive Win
After a 121-110 loss to San Antonio, the Rockets have responded with four straight wins, including a 117-113 overtime victory against the Orlando Magic on Sunday.
Houston trailed by a point in the overtime frame. But a dunk from Amen Thompson and a step-back jumper from Kevin Durant, gave the Rockets a 113-110 advantage and they managed to hold on for a four-point win.
Durant scored a team-high 35 points, handed out six assists, and collected five rebounds. Alperen Sengun finished with 30 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists.
