One of the games on Monday’s NBA slate features the Chicago Bulls hosting the Indiana Pacers. Can Chicago extend its winning streak in our Bulls vs Pacers pick?
Bulls Seek First Win Against Pacers This Season
After back-to-back losses against the Indiana Pacers (127-112) and Cleveland Cavaliers (139-117), the Bulls have bounced back with two straight wins, including a 114-109 victory over the Miami Heat on Saturday night.
Josh Giddey was the headliner for Chicago in this game. He scored 26 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and handed out 12 assists.
Coby White added 21 points, three rebounds, and three assists, while Tre Jones chipped in with 15 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
Miami led by as many as 15 points in the first half and held an 11-point advantage heading into the final frame. However, Chicago responded with a 36-20 scoring edge in the fourth quarter.
This marked the 16th loss for Miami this season when it has led by a double-digit margin.
Pacers Going For Season Sweep Over Divisional Foe
On the other side of this matchup, after scoring victories against Chicago and the Houston Rockets, the Pacers have dropped their last two contests against the Atlanta Hawks, including a 120-118 setback on Saturday night.
Bennedict Mathurin spearheaded an offense where six players reached double figures. He scored a game-high 30 points on 45 percent shooting from the floor. He also tallied eight rebounds, five assists, and shot 4-for-6 from beyond the arc.
Pascal Siakam finished with 23 points and seven rebounds. Aaron Nesmith and Myles Turner contributed 14 points apiece.
The Pacers trailed by 17 points at the break. But despite a 66-51 scoring advantage in the second half, their comeback attempt fell a bit short, as their star player was on the shelf with a wrist injury.
Bulls vs Pacers Pick: Indiana Tops Chicago
The Bulls are 4-6 in their last 10 games. And unfortunately, they are ranked 19th in offensive efficiency and have the sixth-worst defensive rating in the association.
Meanwhile, the Pacers have gone 6-4 across their last 10 contests. Although Indiana is ranked 20th in scoring defense (115.3 PPG), it does boast the eighth-best offensive rating (116.4 Points Per 100 Possessions).
Indiana has won all three meetings between these franchises this season, two of which were by double digits. With that in mind, the Pacers will get the season sweep against their division rival.
