  • The Bucks are 40-34 and have the sixth-best record in the Eastern Conference.
  • Phoenix is 35-40 and is currently 1.5 games out of the final play-in spot out west.
  • These teams last played on Mar. 24, with the Suns narrowly escaping with a 108-106 win.

One of the games on Tuesday’s NBA slate features the Milwaukee Bucks hosting the Phoenix Suns. Which team can get back into the win column in our Bucks vs Suns pick?

Bucks Look To Regroup From Blowout Loss Against Atlanta

After posting back-to-back wins over the Los Angeles Lakers (118-89) and the Sacramento Kings (114-108), the Bucks have dropped each of their last four contests. Their recent setback includes a 145-124 defeat at the hands of the Atlanta Hawks.

Giannis Antetokounmpo paced an offense in which five players, including three starters, reached double figures. He scored 31 points on 11-for-18 shooting from the field, grabbed nine rebounds, and handed out five assists.

Kyle Kuzma added 25 points and six rebounds, and Keven Porter Jr. led the bench unit with 28 points, including three 3-pointers.

After trailing by seven points early on, the Hawks took a seven-point lead into the break. The road team then pulled away in the third quarter courtesy of a 17-6 run to extend its lead to 99-81. Atlanta outscored Milwaukee by an 81-48 margin in the second and third quarters.

Suns Aim To Snap Three-Game Losing Skid

Following a four-game win streak, the Suns have hit a rough patch, dropping their last three games. This includes a 148-109 loss against the Houston Rockets on Sunday night.

Devin Booker scored a team-high 28 points, connecting on 12 of his 17 shot attempts. He also had three rebounds and three assists.

Kevin Durant contributed 11 points and seven rebounds. Unfortunately for the Suns, he exited the game early with an ankle injury in the third quarter. Monte Morris accounted for 10 of the bench unit’s 59 points.

Already leading by 17 points in the second quarter, the Rockets finished the first half with a 23-11 burst, giving them a 78-49 advantage at the break. Needless to say, the rest of the contest was a mere formality.

As if Durant’s injury isn’t bad enough, five of the team’s next six outings are against playoff opponents.

Bucks vs Suns Pick: Who Has The Edge In This Pivotal Matchup?

The Bucks are 4-6 in their last 10 games. They are a mediocre team at both ends of the floor, ranking 13th in both points per game and points allowed per contest.

On the other hand, the Suns have split their previous 10 contests. They have the fourth-worst defensive rating in the association but are a top-10 squad from an offensive standpoint.

Phoenix escaped with a two-point win in the previous matchup between these franchises. But with Durant expected to sit this one out, the Bucks should come out on top here.
