Event Preview

The pulsating action in the In-Season Challenge draws to a close this weekend, as Indianapolis hosts the Brickyard 400. The Crown Jewel race has been on the NASCAR schedule since 1994, with the field completing a total of 400 miles, which is made up by 160 laps in Indiana.

Chase Elliott has been one of the biggest winners during the In-Season Challenge after winning once and taking two top-ten finishes to move to the top of the Drivers’ Championship. His sixth-place finish in last weekend’s Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 saw him jump ahead of William Byron in the standings.

Byron has now failed to finish in the top 20 in four of the last five races after only taking 32nd spot in the race last weekend. Kyle Larson also closed the gap on the top of the standings after finishing an excellent fourth to end his streak of three races without a top ten finish.

Denny Hamlin should come into this round in excellent form after recording a fourth victory of the season last time out. Hamlin has also finished in the top five in three of the last five races.

Brickyard 400 Picks

Plenty will have leading chances this weekend, but Tyler Reddick could make a lot of appeal. The American has been driving consistently throughout the season, which includes three top-six finishes in the last four races.

He has also finished in the top three on three previous occasions in 2025, and a first win of the campaign could be on the horizon.
