If you’re looking for some UFC Nashville picks for the July 12 event, you’re at the right place! We’ll now analyze the odds, discuss fighters’ stats and records, and provide top predictions to get you ready for a wild night in Tennessee.

Derrick Lewis vs. Tallison Teixeira – Someone’s Getting Slept in the UFC Nashville Main Event

FIGHTERODDS
Derrick Lewis+180
Tallison Teixeira-210

With Jon Jones gone, the UFC heavyweight race is wide open. Forty-year-old Derrick Lewis might be in his 15th year of professional MMA, but he isn’t yet done chasing gold. On July 12, he headlines UFC Nashville against rising knockout artist Tallison Teixeira, who’s 8-0 With seven wins by KO/TKO.

Teixeira’s power is real, but he’s never faced a vet like Lewis, whose knockout-to-win ratio is 82.14%. Lewis might struggle to reach him as the Brazilian is 6’7 tall, but if he gets a clean cross, he can put Teixeira to sleep.

UFC Nashville odds, however, suggest it’s going to be the other way around. We think either scenario is possible, but what we’re 100% sure of is that one of these guys will get put to sleep.

Some of the UFC Nashville picks to take into consideration for this fight include “Fight to Go the Distance – No” and “Fight to End by KO/TKO.” While the first of those looks like a certainty, it’s the latter that comes with better odds.

Stephen Thompson vs. Gabriel Bonfim – “Marretinha” to Retire “Wonderboy”

FIGHTERODDS
Stephen Thompson+300
Gabriel Bonfim-400

Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson returns to the Octagon at 42. It’s an advanced age for an MMA fighter, especially one who’s fighting in the UFC Welterweight Division, where speed and agility matter a lot.

He did look quick in his last two fights, but that didn’t help him much – he lost both of those inside the distance. First, Shavkat Rakhmonov beat him by submission; then, he lost to Joaquin Buckley by KO.

“Wonderboy” now needs to try and bounce back with a win over Gabriel Bonfim, a 15-year-younger finisher with a finishing rate of 94.11%. The Brazilian has slick striking, but it’s his grappling that should scare Thompson. The thing is that he’s got 13 wins by submission in his portfolio.

This is bad news for Thompson, whose striking skills are still slick, but he’s got some big holes in his wrestling and grappling.

UFC Nashville Picks for Remaining Fights

  • Calvin Kattar (+130) vs. Steve Garcia (-150)
  • Nate Landwehr (+190) vs. Morgan Charriere (-225)
  • Vitor Petrino (-650) vs. Austen Lane (+475)
  • Junior Tafa (-167) vs. Tuco Tokkos (+147)
  • Max Griffin (+285) vs. Chris Curtis (-350)
  • Jake Matthews (+100) vs. Chidi Njokuani (-120)
  • Lauren Murphy (+425) vs. Eduarda Moura (-600)
  • Kennedy Nzechukwu (-190) vs. Valter Walker (+165)
  • Mitch Ramirez (+575) vs. Mike Davis (-800)
  • Fatima Kline (-1400) vs. Melissa Martinez (+800)

Some of the UFC Nashville picks we’re almost 100% confident will win include Fatima Kline, Mike Davis, and Eduarda Moura. The odds, however, aren’t that great. If you’re looking for better value, Junior Tafa and Morgan Charriere could be better options.

They’re both likely to win, and their odds are decent. If you want to spice things up even more, betting on Tafa to win by KO/TKO would be the right thing to do. After all, this guy is 6-for-6 when it comes to knockout wins.
