Noche UFC 3 Picks for Lopes vs. Silva and Other Fights on September 13

Then, there are a couple of picks that are very likely to win, yet they come with pretty good odds. Keep reading to see all of them!

Diego Lopes vs. Jean Silva: Lopes to End Silva’s Brilliant Run?

Diego Lopes returns to action after going the distance with Volkanovski, and now he’s matched with Jean Silva in the Noche UFC 3 headliner.

He got beaten up in that fight but managed to stay on his feet until the end of the full 25 minutes. Silva, meanwhile, has never fought a 5-rounder. In fact, he’s only stayed inthe Octagon for 15 minutes on three occasions.  

This guy is an incredible finisher, but we’re not sure about his stamina and composure in later rounds. If Lopes survives the early storm and takes over late, we can see him closing the show in San Antonio.

Rob Font vs. David Martinez: Easy Job for Font

Rob Font was set to face Raul Rosas Jr., but an injury scrapped the matchup. Instead, David Martinez got the call on short notice, stepping in with just two weeks to prepare. Martinez impressed in his debut against Saimon Oliveira, but this is a whole different level of challenge.

Font’s striking volume, accuracy, and experience against elite competition should be too much for Martinez to handle. Our prediction? Font keeps it clean, controls the pace, and walks away with a comfortable win.

Tatiana Suarez vs. Amanda Lemos: Tatiana’s Resurrection Starts on September 13

Amanda Lemos finally gets her rematch with Tatiana Suarez at UFC Noche on September 13, after Suarez pulled out of their original February bout due to injury. Lemos is riding momentum, but Suarez (ranked No. 2) is a different breed entirely.

Her elite wrestling (4.65 TDs per 15 minutes and TD defense of 80%) and superior striking accuracy (61% compared to Amanda’s 54%) should be too much. In this one, Suarez wears her down and wins either by a late finish or decision.

We’re pretty confident that she’s gonna win as this is her redemption fight after losing the title bout with Zhang Weili last February.

UFC Noche 3 Picks for All Remaining Fights

• Jesus Aguilar vs. Luis Gurule – Luis Gurule

• Monserrat Rendon vs. Alice Pereira – Monserrat Rendon

In most of the remaining bouts, we’re siding with the favorites, but Montserrat Rendon vs. Alice Pereira feels like a live dog spot. Pereira (6-0) looks like a rising star on paper, with five stoppages and an 11-second KO that went viral.

But dig deeper and cracks appear: two fights flagged on Tapology and a “big win” over a fading journeyman in Samarra Santos. At -220, Pereira could be overpriced, and this might be the night she gets “fraud checked.”
