Martin is 2-0 through two starts and it's not a fluke. His last outing: six scoreless innings against Toronto, four hits, two walks, six strikeouts, 85 pitches. Efficient. The ERA sits at 2.45 with 12 strikeouts and four walks across 11 innings.
Chicago is hitting .204 with 10 home runs. Munetaka Murakami leads the team with four homers and seven RBI while batting .195. Miguel Vargas has seven RBI. Chase Meidroth leads the team in batting at .244. Kansas City is hitting .227 with 11 home runs. Maikel Garcia leads the team at .320 with a .397 OBP. Jonathan India has eight RBI despite batting .189. Carter Jensen has three homers and six RBI. The Royals are 5-8 and have lost three straight.
The Royals are -181 at home against a team with the same exact record. Martin is pitching better than Bubic right now and Chicago already beat Kansas City yesterday. Six walks in 11 innings from Bubic and a White Sox lineup that barely hits? Pass on Kansas City at that price.
