Event Preview

The second major of the golf season is set for this weekend, as Quali Hollow plays host to the PGA Championship. The field will compete across 7,600 yards for their share of the $20 million purse. Justin Thomas won the major on the only previous occasion that the tournament was staged at Quali Hollow back in 2017.

However, Rory McIlroy will be a prominent selection this weekend after winning The Masters. The Northern Irishman boasts an excellent record at Quali Hollow, winning the Truist Championship at the course on a record four occasions.

Scottie Scheffler joins McIlroy at the top of the betting for the major after bouncing back to winning ways with success at the recent CJ Cup. His consistency ensures that he will be a major contender at Quali Hollow this weekend.

Thomas also holds respectable claims this weekend, as he returns to the site of his first major success. He will also take confidence from his latest outing after finishing the final round of the Truist Championship three-under to take a share for second.

At bigger prices, Cameron Smith could have a fighting chance at +11000. Before leaving for the LIV Tour, the Australian was the second-highest ranked player on the tour, and his consistency this season has seen him finish in the top ten in nine of his last ten majors.

PGA Championship Picks

Shane Lowry has been knocking on the door for a win in recent months, and he finished in a tie for second at the Truist Championship last weekend.

The Irishman has finished in the top 20 in 16 of his last 19 starts, and he has also finished in the top 12 in five PGA Championships. Will likely be in contention going into the final round, and he is our main win play for the second major of the season.
