Event Preview

The season-ending event on the LIV Golf schedule for 2025 is set for this week, as the Team Championship will be determined in Michigan. The format of the event is unlike anything else on the golfing schedule, and play gets underway on Wednesday.

On the opening day, teams that finished 12^th and 13^th in the rankings will compete in a play-in match, with the winners advancing to the tournament proper, which gets underway on Friday. The quarterfinals will see the 12 remaining teams compete across six quarterfinals, with the winners advancing to the semi-finals.

Saturday will see the semi-final matches contested, with the higher seeds choosing the matchups; consisting of two singles matches and a foursome. Sunday will be the final, with three teams competing across 18 holes.

Unsurprisingly, Legion XIII, captained by Rahm, heads the betting. The team accumulated the most points during the season, finishing just under 80 ahead of Crushers GC.

Fireballs and Torque will likely round off the remaining leading contenders, as they were the only teams to accumulate at least 160 points during the regular campaign.
