Vicente Luque and Rafael dos Anjos bring what might be one of the most interesting matchups over the past two months. These two welterweights clash at the UFC Apex facility in Enterprise, Nevada.

Before Betting on Vicente Luque vs. Rafael dos Anjos

Vincente Luque is coming off back-to-back losses against Belal Muhammad and Geoff Neal, and he needs a win in this one. Belal was harassing Luque in their meeting, while Neal finished him via KO in the third round.

Previously, the Silent Assasin had four wins in a row, with two of the most notable being against the former UFC welterweight champ, Tyron Woodley, and after that, Michael Chiesa. Luque has a very long reach and is fast on his feet, though his grappling is mediocre.

RDA is one of the most loved guys in the UFC. With 38 years, he still creates hype, not as before, but we need to realize that he has his audience. Dos Anjos was the former UFC lightweight champ, a very well-rounded guy whose grappling is very solid and whose striking abilities are almost elite.

Though, the years caught up with the Brazilian, who poted one loss and two wins in his latest three bouts, all in 2022. He was better than Renato Moicano via unanimous decision, then lost to Rafael Fiziev via KO in the fifth round, and then beat Bryan Barbarena in December via neck crank.

Luque is faster and has a six-inch longer reach, but we don’t see him dictating the tempo in this one. If Dos Anjos endured five rounds with Fiziev, he can for sure go toe-to-toe with Luque. Now, if the Brazilian takes down his rival, that would probably create plenty of trouble for Luque, who isn’t that good on the mat. This is the sole reason we give the veteran and former champ an edge.
