The countdown to the start of the 2026 Masters continues this weekend, as the Valspar Championship is staged in Florida. The field will be competing for their share of the $9 million purse, with a total of 7,340 yards being covered at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club.

Xander Schauffele will be a red-hot favorite to claim victory this weekend. The American holds a strong record at the course, finishing T5 and T12 on previous appearances. Schauffele also looks like a man in consistent form after taking third at The Players last time out.

Matt Fitzpatrick also looks like a player who played his way into form, taking second at TPC Sawgrass last time out. The Englishman is capable of a strong showing at Innisbrook, evident after finishing T5 at the Florida course back in 2022.

Justin Thomas and Akshay Bhatia are two further stars worth considering this weekend. The latter finished T17 in this event 12 months ago, and he showed excellent quality to battle to a T13 finish at The Players Championship last weekend.
