The Toronto Maple Leafs are back in action on Friday evening, as they look to pick up a third straight success before the NHL All-Star Break. However, the Ottawa Senators are the visitors to the Scotiabank Arena this weekend, as they look to continue their decent form with a second straight win.

Before Betting On Senators vs Maple Leafs

There will be some exciting NHL action on Friday evening, as the Toronto Maple Leafs look to maintain their consistent run of form. The Leafs currently sit second in the Atlantic Division, and are 12 points off the blistering pace being set by the Boston Bruins. However, they do appear to be very credible playoff contenders this term.

Toronto has picked up victories in seven of their previous ten, which includes back-to-back wins in their last two matches. The Leafs were in excellent form in their previous home game, as they edged out the New York Rangers to pick up a 3-2 win after overtime. The Leafs had a lot to do in the final period, as they were trailing 2-1, but they battled excellently. Goals in the win were netted by Timothy Lilegren, Mitch Marner, and Pontus Holmberg.

The Ottawa Senators could yet get involved in the playoff hunt in the second half of the season, as they sit just over ten points off the top eight. However, they will need to improve their record away from home if they are going to manage that, as they have picked up just eight wins from 22 games away from Ottawa this term.

The Senators have been building confidence in recent weeks, and they should come into this game in good mood after a solid 2-1 win over the New York Islanders earlier this week. Shane Pinto and Claude Giroux both scored in that home success, but it will be interesting to see if they can transfer that home performance onto the road this week.

The Leafs home record looks to be the key form line for this game on Friday. We also expect them to win comfortably against the Senators, as they have picked up four straight wins against their rivals this week.
