Event Preview

One of the final opportunities for players to secure their PGA Tour privileges is set for this weekend, as the scenic Sea Island Golf Club Seaside Course plays host to the RSM Classic. This event is contested over 7,005 yards, with the players competing for their share of the $7 million purse.

Harris English will be among the top contenders in the betting this weekend. The American has enjoyed an excellent 2025 campaign, which included a win in the Farmers Insurance Open. His form has been maintained since then, but he has finished in the top 25 on just one occasion since his debut in 2017 at this event.

Rico Hoey has been a player that we have flagged up over the past couple of weeks, and he once again looks set to go well this weekend. The Filipino has finished in the top ten on three occasions this calendar year, and confidence levels will be high ahead of this weekend’s event.

Denny McCarthy and Vince Whaley should also be respected. The latter has cashed in on his last 18 starts, and was T3 in Bermuda on his latest start. His record at the course also ensures he holds leading claims. McCarthy returns after a three-month break, and was T25 in the RSM Classic 12 months ago.

A player at a bigger price that we like this weekend is Alex Smalley. The American was a top-five finisher in this event in 2022, and his form couldn’t be more eye-catching after finishing T4 at the Baycurrent Classic and T2 at the Bermuda Championship.
