Could this be the last Monday Night Football game at Lambeau Field for Aaron Rodgers – at least as a member of the home team? The 5-8 Packers need to win out the rest of the year to have any shot at a possible wild card berth, and even then they need help so this franchise really could be blowing things up in the offseason. The 4-9 Rams have the third worst record in the NFC, so they won’t be repeating as Super Bowl champions due largely in part to injuries.

Before Betting on Rams vs Packers

One positive for Rodgers is that he won’t have to face Aaron Donald on Monday night, as the Rams star defender continues to miss games for the first time in his career with an ankle injury. WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) also remains out as does Matthew Stafford, which opens the door for Baker Mayfield to make his first start as a member of the Rams.

Mayfield just joined the Rams last Tuesday after being waived by Carolina, and by Thursday he was into the game going 22/35 for 230 yards and a TD to lead a 17-16 come from behind win over the Raiders to snap L.A’s six game losing streak. With that game being on Thursday and the visit to Green Bay the Monday night game, Mayfield has had that much extra time to adjust to Sean McVay’s offense.

The Rams had a 4th quarter comeback last week but so did the Packers in their last game, scoring 18 points late to beat Chicago 28-19. That was in week 13, so Green Bay is coming off their bye last week hoping to improve on a 3-2 record at Lambeau. The Packers play three of their last four games at home, so maybe this team can finish strong.

Rams vs Packers Prediction & Pick

There was a time when it was laughable when a game featuring the MVP Rodgers and the offensive guru McVay would only have a total of 39.5. Both of these teams have fallen off a bit this season, but when you get that number you have to take it.
Pick: Over 39.5
