  • Undefeated Miami (4-0) are coming off a 26-7 victory against Florida in Week 4.
  • Florida State (3-1) had a heartbreaking overtime 38-46 loss to Virgina last week.
  • The Seminoles have won 3 times over their last 4 meetings against the Hurricanes.

The Miami Hurricanes pay a visit to their state rivals Florida State Seminoles this coming week. It will be a tight matchup between Miami rock solid defense and Florida States overwhelming offensive power. The Seminoles are looking to prevent a 2-game losing streak which will be an extra motivation in this battle.

Miami to Rely on Their Defensive Power

The Hurricanes are looking to protect their ranking and bragging rights over their state rivals. Miami is currently ranked 9th in scoring defense, so they’ll be looking to show why thats the case. Miami has also rearely turned the ball over this year with only 3 instances so far, whereas Florida State have had 6 turnovers.

The Hurricanes are coming off a BYE week, however, they had a showcase win against another state rival with the Florida Gators in Week 4.

Seminoles Seeking Redepmtion

Florida State are sitting at 3-1 and are in need to bounce back into the winning column against a mighty Miami team. They’ll be looking for their alumni to lend a hand at Doak Campbell Stadium with some intimidation tactics.

Their QB, Thomas Castellanos, needs to step it up this game as he has thrown only 4 TDs but 3 interceptions as well. Gavin Sawchuk, their running back, has been much more productive with 6 TDs so far.

#3 Miami vs #18 Florida State NCAAF Pick

Miami Hurricanes are slight favorites at -4 against the Seminoles this week. The odds are implying that Miami will take a road win and continue undeafeted. The over/under for the game is 54.5.

We expect Miami to take the win as well, guided by their defensive stops and potential forced turnovers. Florida State will need to rely on their crowd and resrugence from their starting quarterback.
