A pulsating end to the Formula 1 season is set, as a three-way fight to be named Drivers’ Champion is taking shape. Max Verstappen’s charge at the end of the campaign is gaining pace, and he could move to within striking distance of the summit with a victory in the Mexico City Grand Prix. You can find the odds and our picks here.

Event Preview
A fascinating end to the 2025 Formula 1 season is set, with the three-way battle for the Drivers’ Championship set to continue at the Mexico City Grand Prix. This weekend, the field will compete over a distance of 189 miles, which is made up by 71 laps of the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit.
Oscar Piastri’s advantage at the summit has been slashed in recent weeks after a DNF in Azerbaijan, and finishes off the podium in Singapore and Texas. His advantage now stands at just 14 points over teammate Lando Norris, with Max Verstappen looking menacing after a win in Texas to move within 40 points of the summit.
McLaren endured a weekend to forget at COTA, with Norris also struggling to overtake Charles Leclerc to take second throughout the Grand Prix. The team’s frustrations boiled over in the Sprint Race, as Piastri collided with Norris to endure a double DNF.
However, Verstappen’s form deserves huge respect. The four-time world champion has won three of the last four races, and has finished at least second in every race since the Dutch Grand Prix. The odds will still be against him, but there is a belief that his character could yet play a pivotal role in the championship battle.
Ferrari enjoyed a return to form in the U.S., with Leclerc taking third and Lewis Hamilton claiming fourth. It was a pivotal weekend for the team, as they are now seven points behind Mercedes in the race for second in the Constructors’ Championship battle.
Mexico City Grand Prix Picks
I’m a huge believer that Verstappen will take his championship charge to the final race, and he can continue to put pressure on the McLaren duo with another dominant showing in Mexico City to record a victory in the race for a sixth time in his career.
