Los Angeles Galaxy won the previous two El Trafico derbies, but this time, offshore betting sites see Los Angeles FC as the favorite. The main reason is that LAFC’s new signings Gareth Bale and Giorgio Chiellini are set to debut on Friday, July 8.

Before Betting on Los Angeles FC vs. Los Angeles Galaxy

Offshore betting sites see Los Angeles FC as the main favorite to win the 2022 MLS Cup. No surprise there really, as this team has been brilliant since the start of the season. They are sitting at the top of the Western Conference table with an 11-3-4 record. One of those four losses, however, happened last Saturday – LAFC lost to the Vancouver Whitecaps 1-0, despite coming to Canada as +100 favorites.

The reason why they lost – according to their boss Steve Cherundolo – is that they took things easy so that they’d be 100% ready for the Los Angeles Derby this coming Friday. The LAFC coach revealed that was the reason why he kept his most lethal attacker Carlos Vela sidelined in that game.

LAFC’s scoring leader is making a comeback on Friday, and that’s not the only good news for this team. Two of their new signings – Gareth Bale and Giorgio Chiellini – are expected to debut in El Trafico.

Even though Los Angeles Galaxy are a fantastic team that’s been playing decent soccer lately, they just don’t have as good players as their city rivals. That said, we can only expect a big win for LAFC.
