We all feel a little regret and depression after the holidays, and that’s especially true for the Detroit Lions (8-3) who suffered an embarrassing 29-22 loss at home to Green Bay on Thanksgiving morning. The Lions have had to wait a couple extra days to try and exercise that loss off, but a visit to New Orleans might not be that welcoming as the Saints are right in the thick of a division race despite being just 5-6 on the season.

Before Betting on Lions vs Saints Week 13

Detroit might be showing signs of slipping – perhaps because they built so much of a formidable lead in the NFC North early in the season. Over their last three games the Lions have a 3 point win at the Chargers, needed a comeback to beat the lowly Bears, and lost at home to Green Bay in which the Packers were supposed to be vulnerable on a short week.

The Saints really didn’t impress last week losing 24-15 at Atlanta in a huge divisional contest even when New Orleans was coming off their bye. That defeat has the Saints percentage points behind the Falcons in the NFC South while Detroit has a three game lead in the North – so Sunday’s matchup definitely means more for New Orleans.

Lions vs Saints Week 13 Prediction & Pick

Detroit has struggled recently, especially the last two games throwing three INTs vs the Bears and fumbling three times against the Packers. Detroit has had a couple extra days to work on those fundamentals playing last Thursday, but this still feels like a rough trip for them. The Saints possibly win this outright, but at least keep the game to a field goal margin.

Pick: Saints +4
