Event Preview

The third edition of the Las Vegas Grand Prix is set for the end of November, as the drivers compete on the streets of Sin City. The famous streets in Vegas have formed a dramatic race since its introduction to the calendar, with the field competing across 192.599 miles on one of the fastest street circuits on the calendar.

Lando Norris has breathing space at the top of the Drivers’ Championship standings following victory in the Sao Paulo Grand Prix. The British driver now holds a 34-point advantage over Oscar Piastri, while Max Verstappen sits 49 points off the lead.

It was a weekend to remember in Brazil for Norris, as the Brit topped every period, which included success in the dramatic Sprint Race. Life was made slightly easier for Norris, as Piastri crashed out in the Sprint, while Verstappen was forced to start from the pit lane in the Grand Prix after taking a new engine.

However, Verstappen’s pace was evident throughout the race in Brazil. The Dutchman achieved a remarkable third-place finish after battling through the top order, and with a few more laps, he likely would have overtaken Kimi Antonelli for second.

This race also promises to be vitally important in the Constructors’ Championship battle, with Mercedes currently holding second spot ahead of Red Bull and Ferrari. It was a miserable weekend in Brazil for the latter of the teams, with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc both suffering DNFs.

Las Vegas Grand Prix Picks

Verstappen’s pace and set up changes represented a huge turnaround in his fortunes in Brazil last time out, and his Red Bull was undeniably the fastest car on track. The Dutchman has a solid record on the streets in Sin City, and he could be the value play when making Las Vegas Grand Prix picks.
