The LA Clippers head to sunny Florida in their sixth consecutive road game. They are cruising through the East, playing excellent basketball, and now have to face the reigning conference champs. Miami is still searching for its form. The Heat oscillates too much, and has certain injury problems, but even so looks dangerous, able to defeat any rival in the league.

Before Betting on the LA Clippers vs. Miami Heat

The Clippers played five matches on their Eastern tour. They won in four, losing just one to the Cavaliers, 118-108, but on the other side, beating the Celtics at the TD Garden, indicating that they have what it takes to finally reach the NBA Finals this season.

Kawhi Leonard is accelerating, with the Claw leading the way in the scoresheet in the past four meetings, having 30+ points in the latest three. Ivica Zubac won’t play, but Mason Plumlee replaces him well under the rim, especially on the defensive side.

Similar to Kawhi, Jimmy Bulter took over the wheel when it came to scoring in Miami’s previous four games. Butler’s absence was felt on the court, though not only on the offesive, but the defensive side as well, because Jimmy stands as one of the best defenders in the league in the past decade. What is impressive is his 60.8% FG in the past ten appearances.

The Heat had seven losses in a row prior to the two consecutive wins they’ve managed to notch in the last few days. Their first victims were the Sacramento Kings, 115-106, and after that, the Wizards, 110-102. That came as a refreshment following all the problems and poor results.

Despite LAC’s incredible offensive potential, the Heat’s defense will lower their efficiency and overall productivity tonight. That’s why we believe under 225.5 points is the best possible pick here. Do know that the Heat plays much harder basketball at home than on the road, imposing tough defense.
