An emotional night for WWE fans will see John Cena in action for one final time. The 17-time world champion’s retirement year has been a mixed bag in truth, with a failed heel run following a shocking turn at Elimination Chamber doing nothing to appease fans.

Cena at least broke Ric Flair’s long-standing championship record, and has delivered classic matches in the second half of the year against Cody Rhodes and Dominik Mysterio.

Gunther earned the right to face Cena after winning the Last Time Is Now Tournament, and it’s likely that he could retire a second legend after dominating Goldberg earlier this year.

As a final wish in WWE, Cena announced that current superstars would collide with stars of the future during Saturday Night’s Main Event.

A fascinating Champion vs. Champion showdown will see WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes take on NXT Champion Oba Femi.

Femi earned his spot in the match after defeating Ricky Saints at NXT Deadline last weekend. It’s likely that the Nigerian will put on a strong showing, but it’s equally as likely that he will come up short against the top name in the company.

The brightest star in the NXT women’s division will also be in action at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Sol Ruca has quickly become one of the fan favourites during her time in WWE, and she has already illustrated her ability to a very high level after winning the NXT Women’s North American title.

Bayley has long-been considered to be one of the best female wrestlers in the company, but her career has stuttered since being pulled off the WrestleMania show earlier this year. However, she is likely to let Ruca go over on Saturday to ensure that a new star is born.
