The Premier League leaders are back in action on Saturday afternoon, as the Gunners travel to relegation threatened Everton. It will be a huge game at Goodison Park, but which of the teams will pick up maximum points to edge closer to their target for this season?

Before Betting On Everton vs Arsenal

Everton will be back at Goodison Park on Saturday, and the home fans will be given an opportunity to welcome new boss Sean Dyche to the club. The former Burnley boss replaced Frank Lampard this week, and he will be immediately tasked with keeping the Merseyside club in the Premier League this term.

That does appear to be a tall order, as the Toffees currently sit 19th in the standings, and have lost five of their previous six games in the English top-flight. Only Wolves have scored fewer goals than Everton so far this term, which means it could yet prove damaging that they weren’t able to bring in a striker on deadline day. However, Everton has a strong home record against the Gunners, as they have won three of the previous four meetings between the sides at Goodison.

Arsenal remain at the top of the Premier League standings at the half way stage, as they boast a five-point advantage over Manchester City. It only helps their case that they have a game in hand over their closest rivals. Arsenal has won five of their previous six games in the Premier League, and have still lost just once this term.

In their previous game, the Gunners bounced back from 1-0 down to beat Manchester United 3-2. Arsenal has won 99 of the 202 league games that they have played against Everton. It only aids their case that they have scored at least five goals in five separate games against the Toffees in the Premier League era.

The pressure will be on Everton this weekend, as fans will demand an immediate response following the appointment of Dyche. While we could see them defending well, we still struggle to see anything other than a victory for the Gunners.
