After more than a year, Darren Till is back in the UFC cage, and his rival will be promising and rising Dricus Du Plessis from South Africa, who has the potential to rule the middleweight division someday.

Before Betting On UFC 282 Till vs. Du Plessis

Till (18-4-1) was once the star in the making and the guy who could become a champion, either in the middleweight or the welterweight division. He had 17 wins and one draw, but following his first defeat, the Englishman simply sank. Over the past five bouts, Till is 1-4.

The Killa Gorilla is a powerful puncher whose combos are devastating, but injuries did slow him down over the past two years, and we don’t know his current shape. He still has the power, and his cardio looked fine, but the quickness in the octagon was visibly lower.

Du Plessis (17-2) was the EFC middleweight champion before coming to the UFC. He opened the stint in this organization with two KOs (Markus Perez and Trevin Giles) before beating Brad Tavares via unanimous decision.

The South African has an unreal physique and is strong as hell. He isn’t afraid to accept the battle both in stand up or on the mat, which is why he has seven wins via KO and nine by submission. Speed, agility, power, this guy has it all in one package. The only thing he lacks for the moment with his 28 years is experience, but that’ll come as well.

Till is a bigger name, but we would go with Du Plessis here because of the overall situation and the fact that the Brit had injury problems and simply isn’t in the rhythm over the past two years. Meanwhile, Du Plessis is on the rise, and we will see him battling for the division’s top five places soon. The offshore bookmakers like Bovada or Sportsbetting give -185 on his victory.
