Men’s Australian Open Contenders
The Grand Slam season in 2025 was dominated by the top two male players in the world, with Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz winning two titles apiece. Sinner could be the standout player for the Australian Open, as the Italian tends to start the season in red-hot form.
The Italian has won the last two editions of the Australian Open, boasting a win rate of 85%. It could be worth noting that Sinner has also reached at least the semi-final stage in seven of the last eight majors.
Alcaraz is unlikely to be far away in Melbourne, having won four Grand Slam titles since the start of 2024. However, the Spanish star doesn’t have the greatest record at the Australian Open, having suffered quarterfinal exits in each of the last two seasons.
Daniil Medvedev could be an interesting selection at this year’s Australian Open. The 29-year-old warmed up for the event with success in the Brisbane International, dropping just a single set. Medvedev is yet to win a Grand Slam title, but he is a three-time finalist at the Australian Open.
American hopes Down Under could hinge on Taylor Fritz. The U.S. star has previous success on hard courts, reaching the US Open final in 2024. However, he has only once made it to the quarterfinals in ten efforts at the Australian Open.
Men’s Australian Open Outright Winner Picks
It is incredibly challenging to overlook the top two in the betting when it comes to making Men’s Australian Open Outright winner picks. Sinner’s record at the major speaks for itself, and his tendency to start the season in red-hot form makes him the standout selection at -110.
