Brendan Allen and Paul Craig clash in a middleweight bout, which will be the main event of the UFC Fight Night 232. These two guys are at the crossroads of their respective careers, and a win here is a must for either.

Before Betting on Allen vs. Craig

Allen was an LFA middleweight champ, but since coming to the UFC, he has also explored the light heavyweight division. There wasn’t any notable success there, so he decided to return to his natural environment. For the moment, he has five wins in a row, the most recent over Krzysztof Jotko, Andre Muniz, and Bruno Silva, all via submission.

Allen is a young guy, with only 27 years, but he has enough experience to take on older rivals. In 27 matches, he posted 22 wins, having five defeats. All In, as the fans call him, is a dominant wrestler, and with 13 submission wins, he may be one of the best in the division.

Craig is in a league of his own when talking about wrestling. He has the second-most submission wins in the UFC lightweight history and the most triangle chokes in the same division. His inconsistency was the main reason why he didn’t earn a better status. The Scot has wins over guys like Magomed Ankalaev or the former lightweight champ, Jamahal Hill, but losses to Tyson Pedro, Khalil Rountree, Jimmy Crute, etc.

He decided to go down to the middleweight following defeats to Volkan Oezdemir and Johnny Walker, where he debuted vs. Andre Muniz with a victory. After 24 battles, this guy has 17 victories and six defeats, plus one draw. Of all his wins, 13 were via submission.

Craig managed to defeat some of the best light heavyweight figures in the division, losing to only those who were extreme strikers, like Walker, Menifield or Rountree. Our opinion is that he has enough power to break down Allen and post a victory. The American didn’t encounter this type of fighter in his past, so Craig’s win looks like a great longshot. SportsBetting.ag offers 4.5 on that.
